Dwarf cornels belong in the Cornaceae family. This is an arctic plant, whose southern border in terms of habitat includes the northern Estonian islands and the coast. Grows up to 30 cm in height. The inflorescence has four white petals. The bright red fruits are similar to berries. Protected in Estonia (protection category III).
