Rocca al Mare is one of the best places for birdwatching in Tallinn. It’s also a great area for an active pastime. You can ride a bicyle or jog along the 2,5-km-long seafront, do some birdwatching on the newly built tower and catch the sun set right into the sea. After a walk on the promenade you can visit the famous Estonian Open Air Museum or Tallinn Zoo, which claims one of the best collections in the Nordic/Baltic region.

In the 19th century, the current Rocca al Mare area became a popular holiday destination with a beautiful sandstone beach, romantic views, and fairytale-like large boulders.
