Harakka island is one of nine places in Finland where you can find restharrows (Ononis arvensis). The species is protected due to being extremely rare and endangered, and its habitat in Harakka has been declared a conservation area.

Restharrow flowers resemble pea flowers, but are pink in colour. The species is more common in Estonia than in Finland.
