The yellow wood anemone (Anemone ranunculoides) is a very demanding herb-rich forest plant and one of the rarest plant species found in Helsinki. If you wish to see flowering yellow wood anemones, you should head to the Ruutinkoksi conservation area in Niskala or to Mustavuori. Yellow wood anemone seedling are also sold for garden plantings. The yellow wood anemone is poisonous.
