The sea milkwort (Glaux maritima) is a thick, juicy-leaved plant that grows low near the waterline, forming extensive stands. As a halophyte, it can withstand being rinsed with salt water as it grows in crevices along the seashore and in coastal meadows.

In Kallahdenniemi, sea milkworts can be found on the shores of Kuningatar, in the bay next to the sauna, for example.
