Goldenrods (Solidago virgaurea) can be found growing in a wide variety of places, as long as there is plenty of sunlight available. It thrives particularly well on the earthworks of Harakka island. Goldenrods have traditionally been used medicinally to treat various conditions as well as to produce yellow dye.
