The wood warbler (Phylloscopus sibillatrix) is a forest bird that favours herb-rich forests and sunny, old mixed spruce forests with sparse shrub layers. Its moves about and sings high up in the treetops.

The wood warbler’s song is easy to identify. It is a trill of increasing tempo, reminiscent of a coin rolling on a table: pit-pit-pitpitpitpt-t-t-ttt.
