In Helsinki, wall lettuce (Mycelis muralis), which typically grows in herb-rich forests and on rock walls, has found suitable growth sites on the fortifications in Mustavuori, on Lauttasaari island and Skatanniemi in Uutela. Its veil-like flower clouds can be seen in July–August. Wall lettuce is a wild herb with a strong flavour.
